Like most photographers I can remember having a camera in my hand as a young kid. What kind? Who knows. I don’t remember specifics. I just know I have the evidence to back up my statement (or the proof is in the photos). I do think that I must have inherited the photo taking gene from my grandpa who owned a studio back in, oh let’s say the 1950s. Again I don’t remember specifics! I also know that I inherited his old darkroom equipment which further added to my passion to take photos.

A life of cameras and photos has led me to become what I was destined to be … a photowalker!

No, really. Why photowalks you ask? Well, I had heard so much about them I had to try for myself. And after taking my first photowalk I realised for me it’s about connecting with others who have the same passion, talking “camera” for a few hours, exchanging advice and building relationships. I would definitely recommend joining a photowalk to anyone with an interest in photography.
